Journeys Through Search

Salesforce Experience Cloud implementationPortals where partners, referral sources and clients work on your Salesforce data.

Experience Cloud, the product once called Community Cloud, puts a branded portal on top of your Salesforce org. We build portals for partners, referral partners, clients and patients, with each person seeing only their own records.

  • Partner, referral partner, client and patient portals
  • Sharing set up so each user sees only their records
  • Logins, self-registration and single sign-on
  • We sign BAAs for healthcare work

How a portal works

  1. 1
    Log in

A partner or client signs in to a portal with your branding

  2. 2
    See their records

Referrals, cases, documents or deals they are allowed to see

  3. 3
    Act

Submit a referral, open a case, upload a file or update a deal

  4. 4
    Lands in Salesforce

Your team sees it on the record, and flows take it from there

Implementing Salesforce Experience Cloud

Experience Cloud sites run on the same data as your Salesforce org. A referral partner who submits a referral creates a lead your intake team sees. A client who opens a request creates a case. Nothing is copied to a second system.

Discovery covers who will use the portal and what each kind of user should see and do. That drives the design: which template to start from in Experience Builder, which license type each group needs, the pages and navigation, and the sharing model that keeps one partner out of another partner's records.

We build in a sandbox. Pages, components and forms are set up in Experience Builder, and Lightning Web Components are written where a standard component does not fit. Sharing sets, sharing rules and profiles are tested with test users for each role before anyone outside your company logs in.

For healthcare portals, patient data needs care. We sign BAAs for our part of the work, and we help you check that your Salesforce contract covers the products that will hold patient data.

Salesforce Experience Cloud implementation FAQ

Is Experience Cloud the same as Community Cloud?

Yes. Salesforce renamed Community Cloud to Experience Cloud. Portals once called communities are now called Experience Cloud sites.

Can referral partners send referrals through a portal?

Yes. A referral partner logs in, submits the referral, and it lands in Salesforce as a lead with the partner attached. They can follow its status from the portal.

How do you keep one partner from seeing another partner's records?

With the sharing model: profiles, permission sets, sharing sets and sharing rules. We test it with a test user for each role before launch.

Can you build a patient portal?

Yes. We sign BAAs for our work, and we help you check that your Salesforce contract covers the products that will hold patient data.

Do portal users need Salesforce licenses?

They need Experience Cloud licenses, which come in types for customers and partners. We help you pick the right type and work with Salesforce reps on your price.

Are you a Salesforce partner?

Yes. Journeys Through Search is a Salesforce partner.

How is it priced?

By project, not by the hour. The first call is free, and you get a project quote after it.
