Journeys Through Search

Salesforce workflow automationThe follow-up, routing and updates your team does by hand, done by Salesforce.

Your reps update stages, assign leads, chase approvals and remind each other to call back. We build flows and Apex in Salesforce that do that work the moment a record changes, and alert the right person in email, Slack or Teams.

  • Built by a Salesforce partner
  • Record-triggered, screen and scheduled flows, plus Apex triggers
  • Approvals, assignment, tasks, alerts and documents
  • Built in a sandbox, tested and documented

How an automation runs

  1. 1
    Something changes

A lead comes in, a stage moves, a box is checked, or another system sends data

  2. 2
    Salesforce acts

Fields update, the record is assigned, tasks are created and documents are generated

  3. 3
    The right person hears

An email, a Slack or Teams message, or a notification in the Salesforce bell

Flows first, Apex where flows stop

Salesforce Flow handles the bulk of workflow automation. Record-triggered flows run when a record is created or changed. Screen flows walk a rep through a process step by step. Scheduled flows run on a set day and time, for the records that need a nudge.

Flows are easier for your admins to read and change, so we start there. When the logic is too heavy for a flow, when it has to handle large batches of records, or when it has to call another system, we write Apex triggers and classes, with test classes so they deploy cleanly.

Automation is only useful if it is right. We check old and new values before a flow changes a stage, make the right fields required at the right step, and send an alert when an integration or a flow fails, so problems surface before your reports are off.

Salesforce workflow automation FAQ

What is Salesforce workflow automation?

Salesforce doing the routine steps for your team: updating fields and stages, assigning records, creating tasks, sending alerts and generating documents when something changes.

Flow or Apex?

Flow first, because your admins can maintain it. Apex where the logic is too heavy for a flow, where large batches of records are involved, or where another system has to be called.

Can alerts go to Slack or Microsoft Teams?

Yes. Alerts can go by email, to a Slack or Teams channel, or to the Salesforce notification bell, with the record details in the message.

Can you fix automations someone else built?

Yes. We find why a flow or trigger is failing, fix it, and write up how it works.

Can automation start from another system?

Yes. Calls, form fills, chats, the EMR and billing systems can create or update Salesforce records, and your flows run from there.

Do you sign a BAA?

Yes. We sign a BAA for healthcare work.

Are you a Salesforce partner?

Yes. Journeys Through Search is a Salesforce partner.
