What a Salesforce consultant does here

A consultant starts with your process, not the software. We sit with the people who use Salesforce, write down the steps they follow, and find where they work around it.

Then we change Salesforce to fit. Anything in it can change: fields, page layouts, conversion mapping, validation rules, flows, custom objects, Lightning Web Components and Apex. We start with configuration your admins can maintain, and write code where configuration stops.

Salesforce connects to the rest of your stack. Where a native integration exists, like CallRail or CallTrackingMetrics, we set it up and extend it. Where none exists, we build the connection with Apex and the APIs.

We use AI agents in our own workflow, on a HIPAA-compliant Claude Enterprise license, and every change still goes through a sandbox before it reaches your org.

What's included

What Salesforce consultant includes

Process mapping

Your sales and intake steps written down, then turned into stages, fields and rules.

Setup and cleanup

A new org set up, or the one you have cleaned up: unused fields removed, duplicates merged, layouts reorganized and sample data deleted.

Custom objects and flows

Objects for the records your business tracks, and flows for assignment, tasks, alerts and field updates.

Lightning Web Components

Custom components on the record page, like activity feeds, stage banners, call recording players and document previews.

Apex and triggers

Apex classes and triggers with test classes, for logic too heavy for a flow and for calls out to other systems.

Integrations

Call tracking, forms, chat, texting, the EMR, billing, payments and ad platforms, through native apps we set up and extend, or custom API work.

Users, security and SSO

Profiles, permission sets and MFA set up, and single sign-on into the systems your team opens from the record.

Reports and dashboards

Dashboards for each rep and manager, and list views your team works from.

License pricing

Help negotiating your Salesforce licenses: the edition, add-ons and license count your team needs, and we work with Salesforce reps to get you a good price.

Training and documentation

Training built on your SOPs, plus written docs on your automations, flows and Apex, so the next admin can follow them.

Ongoing support

Failing flows and errors fixed, API versions kept current, backups set up, and new fields and features added as your team asks.

Salesforce consultant FAQ

What does a Salesforce consultant do?

Maps your process, then sets up and customizes Salesforce to match it: fields, layouts, flows, custom objects, Lightning Web Components, Apex, integrations and reports. Then trains your team and supports the org after go-live.

Can you work on an org someone else built?

Yes. We review the objects, fields, automations and code, fix what is failing, and document how it works before we change it.

Do you write code, or only configure?

Both. We use configuration first, and write Lightning Web Components and Apex where configuration is not enough.

What can you connect to Salesforce?

Call tracking, web forms, chat and texting, EMRs, billing and payment systems, ad platforms, email marketing and reporting tools. Where a native integration exists, we set it up and extend it. If there is no app, we build the connection.

What hours do you cover?

US hours and overnight, so fixes and changes can happen outside your team's working day.

Do you sign a BAA?

Yes. We sign BAAs for healthcare work.

Are you a Salesforce partner?

Yes. Journeys Through Search is a Salesforce partner.

How is it priced?

By project, not by the hour. The first call is free, and you get a project quote after it.
