Journeys Through Search

Salesforce SMS integrationText leads and patients from the record, with every message saved where your team works

Your team texts from one tool and works in Salesforce. We bring texting into the record: a Send SMS panel with templates, scheduling and the right sending number, every text in and out logged on the lead or opportunity, and opt-in checked before anything is sent. It works with CallTrackingMetrics SMS, Sakari, Heymarket, SimpleTexting and Twilio.

  • A Send SMS panel on the Salesforce record, built by us
  • Inbound texts matched to the right record, or turned into a new lead
  • Opt-in checked before a text goes out
  • Native packages set up and extended where they exist

How texting in Salesforce works

  1. 1
    Rep sends from the record

Picks the phone, a template and the sending number, then sends now or schedules it

  2. 2
    Your SMS platform delivers it

CallTrackingMetrics, Sakari, Heymarket, SimpleTexting or Twilio sends the text

  3. 3
    Replies come back to Salesforce

Logged on the same record, with an alert to the rep and a flag that the lead responded

One widget, wired to the platform you already use

We built our own Send SMS widget, a Lightning Web Component that sits on the lead, opportunity or contact. The same widget goes into every build. What changes is the platform behind it, so your team keeps the texting provider and numbers it already has.

The widget follows your rules. It knows which number each rep or team sends from, it checks the opt-in field before it sends, and it picks up every phone number on the record, including ones added a second ago, without a page reload.

Where a platform has its own Salesforce package, like Heymarket, we set it up and connect it to your automation instead. And because Salesforce can be changed in any way, with Apex, flows, custom objects and Lightning components, anything the package or widget does not cover, we build.

What's included

What Salesforce SMS integration includes

Send SMS on the record

Our widget on leads, opportunities and contacts: phone picker, custom number, templates, character and segment counter, Send Now and Send Later.

Sending number rules

Each text goes out from the right number, per rep, per team or per location, set by rules in Salesforce.

Templates

Shared templates for the team and personal ones for each rep, picked in one click and added from the widget.

Full SMS history

Every text in and out on the record, with direction, sender and time, next to calls and emails in the activity feed.

Inbound texts handled

Replies matched to the right record. Texts from unknown numbers land in an unmatched inbox, where a rep can create a lead or opportunity from them.

Alerts on new texts

Reps notified when a lead texts back, so replies get answered.

Responded flag

A flow marks the record when a lead responds, so reports and follow-up queues can use it.

Opt-in and opt-out

An opt-in field the widget checks before sending, opt-in checkboxes on your web forms mapped to Salesforce, and opt-out flows that update the record.

Consent on your website

SMS consent language on your forms, an SMS terms page and privacy policy updates, written with your team.

Number registration

Sending numbers registered for texting with your SMS platform, including A2P verification.

Moving from another tool

Text history brought over when you switch SMS platforms, so past conversations stay on the record.

The real thing

See it in Salesforce

Our Send SMS widget from a live Salesforce build, wired to the client's SMS platform. Every name and number is replaced with sample data.

  1. 1Send SMS on the record

Sending number, the phone to text, a custom number, templates, a character and segment counter, Send Now or Send Later, and the SMS history below.

  2. 2Templates in one click

Shared templates for the whole team and personal templates for each rep.

  3. 3Send later

Pick a date and time, and the text goes out on schedule.

The real thing

Texts that need a reply

We work with TrussCharts (trusscharts.com), our sister company, to build dashboards on the data we connect. Client names and locations are replaced.

  1. 1Texts that still need a reply

Every inbound text without a reply. Linked to the CRM record when there is one. Stage shown next to the message. (illustrative data)

Salesforce SMS integration FAQ

Which SMS platforms do you connect to Salesforce?

CallTrackingMetrics SMS, Sakari, Heymarket, SimpleTexting, Twilio and Avochato. If your platform has an API, we can connect it too.

Do we have to switch texting providers?

No. Our widget is wired to the platform you already use, so you keep your numbers.

What if our platform has its own Salesforce app?

We set up the native app or package, then extend it with the automation, fields and reports your team needs.

Can reps schedule texts?

Yes. Send Later lets a rep pick a date and time, and the text goes out then.

What happens when someone texts a number we do not have in Salesforce?

The text lands in an unmatched inbox, where a rep can match it to a record or create a new lead or opportunity from it.

How do you handle opt-in and opt-out?

We record consent in Salesforce, from your web forms and from replies, and the widget checks it before sending. Opt-outs update the record. Your team decides the policy; we build it in.

How is it priced?

By project, not by the hour. The first call is free, and you get a project quote after it.
