Journeys Through Search

Salesforce email deliverabilityGet the emails your team sends from the CRM out of the spam folder.

When emails sent from Salesforce land in junk, the cause to check first is the sending setup, not the words. The receiving server cannot confirm Salesforce is allowed to send for your domain, the from address does not match what was signed, or old bounced addresses keep getting mail. We find which one it is and fix it.

  • Sending domains checked for SPF, DKIM and DMARC
  • From addresses matched to an authenticated domain
  • Org-wide addresses verified for shared sending
  • Bounced addresses flagged so they stop getting mail

How we fix it

  1. 1
    Check

Test emails from Salesforce read for SPF, DKIM and DMARC results

  2. 2
    Fix

Missing records added, keys activated and senders verified

  3. 3
    Confirm

Test sends repeated until every check passes

Why Salesforce email lands in spam

Salesforce sends from its own mail servers, but the from address is your domain. If your SPF record does not include Salesforce, the receiving server sees a stranger sending as you. If no DKIM key is active for your domain, the email has no signature that ties it to you.

DMARC is where these two meet. It passes only when SPF or DKIM passes for the same domain as the from address. An email from a rep's address on one domain, signed for another, fails DMARC and is treated as suspicious. Each domain your team sends from needs its own DKIM key in Salesforce.

Shared sending needs care too. Emails from flows and alerts that come from a rep's personal address, or from an address nobody verified, confuse both the receiver and your customer. Verified org-wide email addresses give each type of email a proper sender.

Bounces add up. Sending again and again to addresses that bounce hurts how receivers see your domain. With bounce management on, the address is flagged on the record so your team fixes it or stops sending to it.

Salesforce email deliverability FAQ

Why do my Salesforce emails go to spam when Outlook emails do not?

Your inbox sends from your own mail servers, which your domain already trusts. Salesforce sends from its servers, so your SPF and DKIM records need to include it.

Do I need DKIM if SPF is already set up?

Yes. DKIM signs each email for your domain, and it is what keeps DMARC passing when SPF alone does not line up with the from address.

We send from more than one domain. Is that a problem?

No, as long as each domain has its own DKIM key in Salesforce and Salesforce is in each domain's SPF record.

Can you fix Salesforce reports landing in our own junk folder?

Yes. Internal filters can catch them too. We work with your mail admin so they arrive in the inbox.

Does this help list and mass emails too?

Yes. Every email Salesforce sends from your domain uses the same records, whether a rep sends it or a list does.

Do you sign a BAA?

Yes. We sign BAAs for healthcare work.

Are you a Salesforce partner?

Yes. Journeys Through Search is a Salesforce partner.

How is it priced?

By project, not by the hour. The first call is free, and you get a project quote after it.
