Implementing Salesforce CRM Analytics

Standard Salesforce reports and dashboards answer a wide range of questions. CRM Analytics is for the ones they cannot: data joined across objects that do not relate, trends over long periods, data from outside Salesforce, and dashboards with filters that drill from a total down to a single record.

Discovery starts with the questions your managers ask. We write down each metric, where its data lives and who should see it. That decides which objects and outside sources we bring in, and how.

The build covers data connections, recipes that join and shape the data into datasets, and dashboards with the charts, filters and actions each team needs. Dashboards can be embedded on record pages, so a rep sees the numbers for an account on the account. Security predicates and sharing inheritance keep each user to the rows they are allowed to see.

We check every number against the source before go-live, then train your team on reading and filtering dashboards and hand over the recipes with written docs. If standard reports cover what you need, we tell you, and our reporting and dashboards work covers that too.

Salesforce CRM Analytics implementation FAQ

Is CRM Analytics the same as Einstein Analytics?

Yes. Salesforce renamed Einstein Analytics to Tableau CRM, then to CRM Analytics. It is the analytics product that runs inside Salesforce.

Do we need CRM Analytics, or are standard reports enough?

Standard reports and dashboards cover a wide range of needs. CRM Analytics fits when you need data joined across objects, data from outside Salesforce, or dashboards that drill down further. We tell you which fits on the free call.

Can CRM Analytics use data from outside Salesforce?

Yes. Data can come in through connectors or uploads and be joined with Salesforce data in recipes.

Will reps see data they should not?

No. We set security predicates and sharing inheritance so each user sees only the rows they are allowed to see, and we test it with users in each role.

Can you help with the license cost?

Yes. We work out which edition and add-ons your team needs, and we work with Salesforce reps directly to get you the best price we can.

Are you a Salesforce partner?

Yes. Journeys Through Search is a Salesforce partner.

How is it priced?

By project, not by the hour. The first call is free, and you get a project quote after it.
