What comes over from Zendesk Sell

Zendesk has announced that it will retire Zendesk Sell on August 31, 2027. Sell customers keep full access until then, and after that date Zendesk will no longer offer a sales CRM.

Zendesk says leads, contacts, deals, notes, tasks and smart lists can be exported from Sell. It also says activity history, appointments, emails, call logs and documents cannot be exported, so we check what your account holds before anything is planned.

Sell contacts become persons, and the companies they work for become organizations. Deals go into your Pipedrive pipeline, with each Sell stage mapped to a Pipedrive stage. Sell leads go to the Leads inbox or straight to deals, as you prefer. Tasks become activities and notes stay on the deal or person they belong to.

Zendesk to Pipedrive migration FAQ

Is Zendesk Sell really going away?

Zendesk has announced it will retire Zendesk Sell on August 31, 2027. Sell customers keep full access until then.

Why Pipedrive?

Zendesk has announced a partnership with Pipedrive to support Sell customers who move. We move your data and set up the pipeline so your team can start working in it.

What data can come out of Sell?

Zendesk says leads, contacts, deals, notes, tasks and smart lists can be exported. It says activity history, appointments, emails, call logs and documents cannot. We check your account on the free call.

Do our Sell stages carry over?

Yes. Each Sell stage is mapped to a Pipedrive stage, and we can tidy the stages up as part of the move.

What happens to our Sell data after the shutdown?

Zendesk says Sell data is deleted under its data deletion policy when your subscription ends or starting August 31, 2027, whichever comes first, and that the deletion is permanent. Export before then.

How is it priced?

By project, not by the hour. The first call is free, and you get a project quote after it.
